Darin Barone, 18, of Clifton, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and weapons possession after two men were stabbed in the arms during a dispute Sunday, Detective Sgt. Robert Bracken said.

One of the victims needed surgery and both have since been released from the hospital, Bracken said.

Police were unable to find Barone and his whereabouts are unknown, Bracken said. His mother, Diane, was arrested Wednesday for misleading police and failing to cooperate, Bracken said.

Diane Barone was held in Clifton awaiting bail, the detective sergeant said.

Darin Barone should be considered armed and dangerous, Bracken said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can contact Clifton police at 973-470-5911.
