The Warren Point School boys told police they'd been reading near a stairwell in the original school building on Monday when the man "came up to the door on the 30th Street side of the building and knocked on the door, motioning for the students to open [it]," Sgt. Brian Metzler said.

"He then went to the playground side of the building and attempted the same thing" before leaving, the sergeant said. "Entry was never made into the building."

"Witnesses allege that this has happened on ‘a few’ occasions," Metzler added.

Turns out he's a member of the district's buildings and grounds crew, the sergeant said.
