Missing Passaic Woman, Daughter, 5, Found Safe

PASSAIC, N.J. -- A missing Passaic woman and her 5-year-old daughter were found safe, authorities said Thursday.

Cecilia Manzueta, 32, and her daughter Valentina, 5, were both last seen on Saturday at the Holiday Inn on southbound Routes 1 and 9 in Newark, NJSP said.

Cecilia Manzueta, 32, and her daughter, Valentina Manzueta, 5, "were located at approximately 5:20 p.m., Tuesday, June 7," Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Deputy Chief Ross Capuana of the Passaic Police Department announced just after noon. "Both the mother and child were unharmed."

Natanael Manzueta, 37, called Passaic police on Friday to report both missing, authorities said.A joint investigation by Valdes's Child Abduction Response Team, Passaic police and New Jersey State Police followed.

"The investigation is ongoing and active. Additional information will be released as it becomes available," Valdes and Capuana said in a joint release.

The mother and daughter were both last seen on Saturday at the Holiday Inn on southbound Routes 1 and 9 in Newark, New Jersey State Police said.

Manzueta was driving a white, four-door 2016 Honda Accord with a temporary New Jersey license plate.
