CAUGHT! (UPDATE): Surveillance video distributed by Wayne police led to the arrest of a career burglar paroled only two months ago -- after 12 years in state prison -- charged with stealing a large amount of jewelry and U.S. currency coins from a local resident.

ORIGINAL STORY:

WAYNE, N.J. -- Seeking the public's help, Wayne police on Monday released surveillance video of a burglar who they said took a large amount of jewelry and U.S. currency coins from a local resident.

The burglar forced his way into the house in the 100 block of Webster Drive between 7 p.m. and 10:40 p.m. Saturday and was gone with the goods about 10 minutes later, Capt. Laurence J. Martin said.

Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call (973) 633-3536 and ask for Detective William Jurewicz, or call the main number: (973) 633-3530.

"All information is considered confidential," Martin said.
