PATERSON, N.J. -- A Paterson man who ran a stop sign wasn't glad to see Passaic County sheriff's officers who said they found 2½ ounces of pot stuffed down his pants, authorities said.

Cpl. Ken MacNish and Officer Jason Katz stopped Naason Wimbash, 26, after he ran a stop sign at the intersection of 11th Avenue and East 28 Street, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said Monday.

Officers ordeed Wimbash out after smelling marijuana, then noticed the bulge -- which also included 375 small zip-locking bags, Berdnik said.

Wimbash, who also had two active warrants in Paterson, was charged with drug-related offenses, the sheriff said.
