WAYNE, N.J. – An 83-year-old Wanaque man suffered serious injuries in a Wayne crash, authorities said.
The elderly driver was behind the wheel of a 1999 Toyota Corolla that collided with a 2012 Honda Odyssey driven by a 47-year-old Butler man at the intersection of Terhune Drive and Hamburg Turnpike at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.
The Butler man was OK, but two of his passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.
An investigation was continuing, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief James Clarke said.
They asked that anyone who may have seen the crash, or has additional information that could help detectives, call the prosecutor’s tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO or firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the Wayne Police Department Traffic Bureau at (973) 633-3520 .
