Tree Falls, Kills Woman Walking On PA Trail: Coroner
A woman was fatally struck by a falling tree while walking on the Saucon Rail Trail in Lower Saucon Township, authorities announced on Thursday, March 6.
Police were called to the trail between Old Mill Road and Meadows Road around 12:17 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, for reports of a tree falling onto a pedestrian, the Lower Saucon Township Police Department said in a release.

Authorities have identified the 37-year-old mother of one who was killed after being hit by a car in Danbury over the weekend.
Diana Malla Pindo, of Danbury, was hit around 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, near Newtown Road and Eagle Road, Danbury police said.
Paramedics rushed Malla Pindo to Danbury Hospital, where she later died of her injuries on Sunday.

A Temple University freshman died after falling from a light pole in Philadelphia while celebrating the Eagles’ victory on Sunday, Jan. 26, school officials said.
Tyler Sabapathy, 18, was critically injured over the weekend and later passed away on Monday, Temple University President John Fry said in a statement.
“The loss of a promising 18-year-old man like Tyler is both tragic and traumatic. There are no words that can make sense of it, and the entire Temple community mourns his passing,” Fry said.

Derek Graves, of Chesterfield, died in a snowmobile crash around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, according to the Northwestern District Attorney's Office.
