A 51-year-old Connecticut man who police say crashed his car into a telephone pole while having twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system was arrested late last week, authorities said.
Jonathan Beck, of New Milford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain the proper lane, and reckless endangerment, according to Connecticut State Police. He was arrested Friday, April 11.

The crash happened around 6:40 p.m. on Route 4 East at River Road, Bergen County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Kyra Pazant said.
