Inmate Found Dead In Fairfax County Jail Cell, Detectives Say
An inmate at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center was found dead in his cell Sunday evening, sparking a death investigation by county detectives, officials confirmed.
Sam Zu Yung, 32, was discovered unresponsive inside his single cell around 6:15 p.m. on March 31, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Deputies and emergency crews performed life-saving measures, but Yung was later declared dead, authorities said Tuesday, April 1.
Yung had been in custody since Sunday, Feb. 16, held by the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office. His cause of death has not yet been released.

A multi-family home in Westchester caught fire and lost its structural integrity after a car driven by a suspect who fled the scene crashed into it, firefighters said.
Just after 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, firefighters were called to the area of South Highland Avenue and Lincoln Place in Ossining, where a car had crashed into a multi-family residence and burst into flames, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department, which helped battle the blaze.

Four people, including firefighters, were hospitalized following an intense two-alarm fire that broke out at a home in Orange County, officials said.
The blaze started around 2:11 p.m. Monday, March 24, on the porch of a residence at 23 North Robinson Ave. in Newburgh, near the Newburgh City Court building, according to the City of Newburgh Fire Department.
