2 Raritan Residents Indicted After Stealing Treasury Checks, Gun, Cockapoo: Prosecutor
A New Jersey couple was indicted on Thursday, June 19, on charges of running a high-level ID theft ring involving stolen treasury checks, guns, a skimmer, and a stolen dog, authorities said.
Peter Gittens, 37, and Chambreona J. Williams, 33, both Raritan Township residents, are charged with forgery, trafficking in personal identifying information, unlawful possession of a firearm, theft of movable property, and endangering the welfare of a child, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée Robeson said.

Cops ID Motorcyclist Killed In Hunterdon County Crash With Pickup
A 57-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a pickup truck Saturday, May 3 in Hunterdon County, according to the New Jersey State Police.
The crash happened at 6:08 p.m. on County Route 602 East at milepost 5.9 in East Amwell, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said in a statement.
A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading west on CR 602, while a Toyota Tacoma was going east, police said. In the area of milepost 5.9, the motorcycle and pickup truck collided, causing the rider to be ejected.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for 14 counties in New Jersey, with storms expected to bring wind gusts up to 60 MPH, the National Weather Service said on Saturday, May 3.

A Canadian man was killed in killed in a three-vehicle crash on Route 78 in Hunterdon County on the afternoon of Sunday, April 6, authorities said.
At 4:46 p.m., a vehicle crashed into a Ford F-150 pulling a camper on Route 78 eastbound in Bethlehem Township, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
The Ford traveled onto the right shoulder, where it crashed into a Peterbilt semi-trailer, Lebron said. The vehicle continued traveling eastbound , Lebron said.

Timothy Morris, 56, of Bayville (Ocean County), who served as NJDOC’s Range Master, is accused of illegally ordering excess ammunition and selling it on the secondary market, Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced.

Power Restored To 3K People in Hopatcong Borough: Jersey Central Power And Light
The strong winds caused more than 3,000 customers in Hopatcong Borough to be without power on Tuesday, Jan. 28, authorities said.
Jersey Central Power and Light said 3,124 customers, 46% of its customer base, lost power. The power has since been restored, according to the Jersey Central Power and Light website.
Nearly 4,000 customers were without power throughout the Garden State, Jersey Central Power and Light said.
