Jersey City Man Punched, Spat On NJ Transit Crew Member
A 44-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged with punching and spitting on a NJ Transit crew member on Wednesday, April 16, authorities said.
At noon on a train from Trenton to New York Penn Station, Tyquan Gibbs, refused to provide his ticket upon request by a female crew member while the train was stopped at Newark Airport, NJ Transit officials said. After refusing to provide the ticket, Gibbs spit on the woman, punched her, knocking her to the ground where he continued to punch her, authorities said.

A 39-year-old native of the Dominican Republic was arrested and charged on Tuesday, April 15 with assaulting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, authorities said.
On Wednesday, March 26, Darlin Leon was at an ICE facility in Newark, pending removal from the country, US Attorney Alina Habba said. While being processed for removal, Leon struck the victim, a deportation officer in the head with a closed first at least four times, Habba said.

Jason Melendez, 40, of Schenectady, was arrested Wednesday, April 16, in connection with a stabbing attack that left a man hospitalized outside Rotterdam’s Sliderz Bar & Grill.
The incident happened early Saturday morning, April 12, outside the Guilderland Avenue watering hole, according to Rotterdam Police.
