A new report by The Washington Post has recognized these Long Island pizzerias as among the best joints in New York State when it comes to certain regional pizza styles.
The four pizza joints earned recognition as part of a new national database by the Post that categorizes the best restaurants in each state specializing in Chicago, Detroit, Neapolitan, New York, Roman, Sicilian, and Tavern-style pizza.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man who entered a Long Island Dunkin’ Donuts using the employee door and making off with multiple credit cards, cash, and more.
It happened on Thursday, Aug. 16 in Mineola, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., the burglar went into the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 265 East Jericho Turnpike through an employee-only back entrance.

Robbery: Trio Beats Woman With Bats, Make Off With Money On Long Island
A woman was injured after three men beat her with baseball bats, stole her money, and ran in an early-morning Long Island robbery, police said.
It happened on Tuesday, Aug. 1 in Mineola, according to Nassau County Police.
A 45-year-old woman was walking on Mineola Boulevard, near Jericho Turnpike, at approximately 2:15 a.m.
That’s when a trio of men carrying baseball bats jumped out of a white hatchback, police said.
All three of the men began beating the woman with the bats, chipping her two front teeth and causing multiple bruises and abrasions.

Laundromat Break-In: Burglar Steals Thousands From Local Long Island Business
An unknown person robbed a local laundromat, making off with thousands of dollars in cash, police said.
It happened at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25 in Mineola, Nassau County Police reported.
The burglar went to Mineola Laundry, located at 211 Mineola Boulevard, and broke in through the locked window.
Once inside, they took $2,500 cash before fleeing on foot, going eastbound on Lincoln Avenue, police said.
