A 15-year-old from New Jersey is facing serious charges after allegedly breaking into a Burger King in Orange County and wreaking havoc inside, police said.
The burglary happened on Friday, March 21, when officers responded to a burglary alarm at the Burger King on Pike Street at around 2:18 a.m. The alarm system had detected motion in multiple areas of the restaurant, including the dining room, kitchen, and drive-thru window, Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden announced on Saturday, April 5.

An accused cop impersonator was busted shoplifting from a Long Island Target store, police said.
Nassau County Police responded to the New Hyde Park Target store on Union Turnpike for an attempted shoplifting at around 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, the agency said.

A former deli employee in the region was nabbed for allegedly attempting to light a business on fire with employees and customers inside.
The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Main Street Deli & Grocery at 390 Main St. in Beacon.
