Temple Hills Woman Killed In Prince George’s County Police-Involved Crash Identified
The pedestrian killed in a police-involved crash in Prince George’s County has been identified as the investigation into the deadly incident continues, officials announced.
According to the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division (IID), 23-year-old Aniyah Redd, of Temple Hills, was fatally struck in Oxon Hill on Saturday, February 1.
The officers involved have also been identified.
Prince George’s County Police Sergeant Timothy Shomper, an 11-year veteran, and Corporal David Gross, a 13-year veteran, were involved in the crash, authorities said.

Robert “Bubba” Norris, 61, was last seen Saturday, March 1, when he left his home to visit a friend in Clinton, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Before reaching his destination, Norris stopped at two other homes in Prince George’s County but never made it to Clinton, officials said.

Authorities in Maryland are intensifying their search for an elderly Waldorf man with Alzheimer’s disease who has been missing for over a month.
Richard Wilson Jr., 86, was last seen by family members on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 25, in his Waldorf home before being reported missing at about 6:15 p.m. that day, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

Flu Complications Kill Lansdowne Mom Whose Life Was As Unexpected As Her Death
The death of Northern Virginia's Morgan Schmidt Parker, a mother of two, has left "a giant hole in our family that can never be filled," her family said.
Parker passed away in late January in Landsdowne after suffering complications of the flu following a 38-year life that was as unexpected as her death.
Born in June 1986 in Prince George's County, Parker weighed less than 3 pounds, and "wasn’t expected to make it. However, as a baby, she fought hard and proved the doctors wrong," according to her obituary.
Parker leaves behind her husband, two sons, and a devastated family.

David Wilson Jr., 31, of Accokeek, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing his girlfriend, 37-year-old Edna Lyles, inside her Fort Washington home.
