A 33-year-old Budd Lake man was arrested and charged on Sunday, June 1, after an altercation at police headquarters in Mount Olive, authorities said. At 5:50 a.m., Anthony Rondan entered the lobby of police headquarters where he became irate, yelling at police dispatchers and causing a disruption, Mount Olive police said. At 12:21 p.m., officers observed a GMC pickup truck traveling west on Route 46 fail to maintain its lane, Mount Olive police said. The driver, Drew Monarque, was pulled over and officers detected an odor of alcohol on his beverage, police said. Following field sobriety testing, Monarque was placed under arrest, police said. A 32-year-old Hackettstown motorcyclist was killed after he was struck by a falling tree on Route 46 on Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. At 3:58 p.m., Travis Worrell was traveling westbound on a Honda motorcycle in White Township when a tree fell into the roadway and struck him, causing the motorcycle to overturn, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
