At 12:12 a.m., officers responded to Route 80 West in Knowlton Township when a Buick ran off the roadway to the left, up an embankment and struck a guardrail, Charles Marchan, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A 19-year-old driver was killed in an early-morning Route 80 crash when he rear-ended a box truck stopped in the shoulder, authorities said. The Toyota RAV4 and Audi Q3 collided in the northbound lanes at milepost 118.7 in Ridgefield Park around 6:55 p.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said. A 27-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after he struck a police officer while fleeing on Sunday, Oct. 20, authorities said.
