A 59-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged after he shot at Secaucus police on Sunday, June 1, authorities said.
At 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a County Avenue apartment after a woman's phone was snatched by a man, later identified as Dhanraj Dass, Secaucus police said. The man also threatened her with a handgun, police said.
An hour later, officers located Dass at 25 County Ave, observing a handgun protruding from the doorway, police said.

A 34-year-old Newark man was convicted on Wednesday, May 28, of murder in the first degree murder in a 2020 shooting death in Orange, authorities said.
On Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, Marcus Wright confronted 25-year-old Wisguen Marc near 193 Main St. in Orange and pulled a handgun on him, Prosecutor Theodore Stephens II said. Following a brief altercation, Wright shot Marc once in the back, fatally wounding him, Stephens said. The incident was captured on surveillance video, Stephens said.

Kyon Adams, of Lanham, is accused of killing 33-year-old Cameron Smith during a shooting on Lanham Severn Road, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Alfonso Inestroza a.k.a. Franquin Inestroza-Martinez is charged in the Monday, March 17 fatal shooting of Esteban Vicente Sacalxot, a 55-year-old Trenton resident, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.
