Calvin Harrje, a New Jersey resident and firefighter, was killed in a car crash in Vineland on Thursday, May 29.
At 6:03 p.m., officers responded to Hance Bridge Road at the intersection with Pennsylvania Avenue after a 2022 Dodge Ram pickup truck, traveling northbound on Hance Bridge Road, struck a 2023 red Ford Maverick that failed to stop at the stop sign on Pennsylvania Avenue while traveling eastbound, Vineland police said.
Harrje, the driver of the Ford Maverick was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Carter Amir Sease, a 12-year-old Vineland resident, died on Friday, Feb. 7, according to a fundraiser set up to support his family.
"Carter was a bright, kind-hearted, and joyful soul who brought happiness to everyone around him," LeAnn Serrano, who organized the fundraiser, wrote. "His laughter, curiosity, and love for music will forever be missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him."
