Kahleem Mitchell died in the drive-by shooting, Philadelphia police said in a press statement on Friday, Sept. 20.

More than $17,000 has been raised for the family of a 47-year-old HVAC worker and father of three killed in a fall from a cherry-picker crane on Friday, Sept. 6 in West Philadelphia.
The oldest of three brothers on the crane, Tuan Vuong, died en route to the hospital, according to a GoFundMe campaign.
"Our three cousins Tuan Vuong, Wei Vuong, and Nguyen Vuong were involved in a devastating construction accident in West Philadelphia," GoFundMe campaign organizers Crystal Mai and Linh Mai wrote. "A crane collapsed onto their work van, leaving them severely injured."

Nearly 18 years after Shamari Taylor disappeared in Philadelphia, five people are charged in connection with his murder, prosecutors said Thursday.
Kevin Holloway, 45, Mark Scott, 48, Linton Mathis, 50, Atiba Wicker, 47, and Kenneth Tuck, 51, were all arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping resulting in death, kidnapping resulting in death, and aiding and abetting, said the US Attorney's Office.

Two Victims Named In North Philly Speakeasy Shooting: Authorities
Philadelphia police have named the two people who were killed in a shooting in North Philadelphia early Sunday morning, Jan. 14.
Authorities said they were called to a suspected speakeasy, or unlicensed bar, on the 2400 block of Myrtlewood Street just before 1 a.m.
They arrived to find six people suffering from gunshot wounds, the department told Daily Voice.
Edison Frazier, 53, of West Philadelphia, was shot in the face.
