POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- No burger or sandwich is complete without an order of fries. Whether you like them shoestring skinny, crispy and crinkled or golden brown and fried to perfection, they remain one of America's favorite sides.

What Makes Them So Addictive: You can have them plain or go for the ever-popular "Thatch Fries," with cheese, bacon and ranch. Also on the menu: Blarney Fries, with cheese, shaved ribeye steak and sautéed onions with a side of brown gravy, or Curry Fries topped with the pub's traditional Irish curry sauce. As for why patrons love them? Three words: Bacon, cheese and ranch dressing.
