Video: '23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are a Police Officer In America'

HALEDON, N.J. -- In response to Alicia Keys;, "23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are Black in America," NJ Blue Now, based in Haledon, came up with a video of its own.

"Celebrities will tell you a story they want you to believe, but we show you the truth."

"23 Ways You Could Be Killed If You Are a Police Officer In America" employs a somewhat similar approach to the video produced by Keys that includes 22 other celebrities, including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Adam Levine.

Created by law enforcement officers from Passaic and Begen counties, the NJ Blue Now magazine seeks to give an "unfiltered and independent voice" to law enforcement officers.

Its new video, released Tuesday, shows the faces of police officers who were senselessly slain, some of whom were "stopping to help a disabled motorist," "knocking on a door," or simply "wearing the uniform."

"Celebrities will tell you a story they want you to believe, but we show you the truth" NJ Blue Now writes. "All of these officers were law-abiding citizens sworn to protect and serve their communities. They were not thugs, convicted felons, resisting arrest, or intent on causing others harm.

"They lost their lives while serving this country. They were all targeted and murdered for the uniform they wore. Where are the protests? Where is the outrage?

"America is no longer buying the false narratives! It’s time to stand up and support law enforcement!"
