Teen Charged With Felony For Stealing Merchandise From Yorktown Macy's
YORKTOWN, N.Y. — Peekskill resident Arthur G. Stokeley Jr., an 18-year-old man, was arrested and charged with grand larceny on Saturday, Nov. 12, according to a police report. At approximately 5:55 p.m., Yorktown Police report receiving a call from the staff of Macy's, 650 Lee Blvd., claiming shoplifters were fleeing the store. Police determined at the scene that Stokeley and three unidentified females allegedly stole merchandise valued at $1,383.96. SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. — The national No-Shave November campaign has made its way to Sleepy Hollow High School's faculty. Teachers and Assistant Principal Anthony Baxter will forgo shaving to raise awareness and funding for the fight against cancer. The grown-out hair is meant to draw attention to the many cancer patients who lose their hair during treatment. Cuomo Deploys State Resources To Fight Harriman State Park Brush Fires
With about 540 acres engulfed in brush fires, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced state emergency personnel and resources have been deployed to Harriman State Park in Rockland and Orange counties. Police Investigating Swastikas Found Painted On Buildings In Danbury
DANBURY, Conn. — A Danbury resident was one victim in a string of hate crimes in the city after a downtown home on Division Street had a swastika painted on it Monday, the News Times reported.
