Mancini was born in Mount Kisco but grew up in Somers, graduating from Somers High School. He was working as a telecom systems engineer in Philadelphia at the time of his death. Mancini had attended SUNY IT, now known as SUNY Polytechnic Institute, in Utica before moving to Syracuse. Anthony Bucaj, of Yonkers, is now facing several felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
