A police officer in New Jersey is facing charges of aggravated assault and stalking after he allegedly choked a woman until she blacked out after telling him to stop contacting her and blocking him, according to court records and a report by NJ Advance Media.
Charges were filed against Gregory M. Dietz, 34, on Sunday, July 19, in connection with an alleged incident on Sunday, July 5, at 10:30 p.m., court records show.

A Bergen County bakery is closing its doors after 14 years, with its owners calling the decision “incredibly difficult.”
Veriella’s Bakery, located on Hackensack Street in Carlstadt, will serve customers for the final time on Wednesday, Sept. 9, the family announced.
“After 14 wonderful years, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Veriella’s Bakery,” reads a statement shared to Facebook. “This bakery was so much more than a business—it was our life.
